Jason MacLeod
Capital and Facilities Manager
Capital and Facilities Departmeent
Jason has become a steady and dependable force behind Glooscap’s capital and facilities work. With priorities constantly shifting and resources often limited, he consistently adapts with a positive attitude, keeps projects moving, and remains focused on delivering results.
Through Jason’s efforts, the organization has significantly reduced the number of outstanding reports owed to funders while also securing new capital funding to support important projects advancing in 2026. His attention to follow-through has helped strengthen both project delivery and accountability.
Jason approaches challenges as part of the job rather than a reason to slow down. The impact of Jason’s work extends well beyond individual projects. The infrastructure he is helping to advance today will support the Glooscap community for many years to come.
Jason’s reliability, accountability, and commitment make him truly deserving of recognition as one of our Employee Spotlight recipients this month.
Vanessa Sarsfield
HR Generalist
Human Resources Department
Vanessa has been a refreshing addition to the administration team and has quickly become a dependable part of Glooscap’s HR function. She approaches her responsibilities with consistency and care, takes direction well, and follows through with a high standard of work.
When the HR team became short-staffed, Vanessa stepped up without hesitation. She took on additional responsibilities and helped keep important HR processes moving, managing the increased workload with dedication and a strong commitment to the team.
Her willingness to help extends beyond her regular responsibilities. On one occasion, Vanessa came into the office on a non-working day to help prepare AGM packages on short notice, demonstrating her commitment to supporting both her colleagues and the membership.
Vanessa continues to show that she can be counted on when the team needs her. Her reliability, flexibility, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities have made a meaningful contribution to the HR team.
Stephanie Graham
ASHOR Coordinator
Health Department
Since joining Glooscap, Stephanie has made a noticeable difference in the experience of Band members and families who participate in her programs. She approaches her work with genuine care, thoughtfulness, and a strong commitment to creating positive experiences for the community.
That care is evident in the environment she manages. Stephanie took the initiative to reorganize the program space and continues to take pride in keeping it welcoming and well-maintained. She brings the same level of attention and planning to the programs she develops and delivers.
Through her work, families and youth in Glooscap are benefiting from programs designed with their needs and experiences in mind. Just as importantly, Stephanie is building a strong foundation that can continue to support the community for years to come.
Stephanie’s attention to detail, pride in her work, and genuine commitment to serving Band members demonstrate the standard of service we want to recognize and celebrate.

Taylor Peters
Band Designate/Interim Health Director
FNCFS and Health Department
Taylor has shown exceptional dedication to her professional growth by completing the First Nations Health Manager Program.
Her leadership within the First Nations Child and Family Services program has also contributed to a remarkable achievement. For the first time in more than a decade, no children supported by the program were at risk of being removed from their homes through court proceedings. This reflects Taylor’s commitment to strengthening families and creating positive outcomes for the community.
Taylor has also stepped forward to serve as Interim Health Director, leading the organization's largest department. In her first three weeks, she has already demonstrated strong judgment, confidence, and sound leadership. Her efforts have been recognized through positive feedback from members of the Health team.
Taylor’s dedication, compassion, and willingness to take on new challenges make her truly deserving of recognition as one of our Employee Spotlight recipients this quarter.
Caitlyn McLellan
Accounting Clerk II
Finance Department
This quarter, we are proud to recognize Caitlyn McLellan for his exceptional dedication, reliability, and commitment to our organization.
As an Accounting Clerk II, Caitlyn stepped up during a challenging period when the organization lacked an in-house payroll resource. While continuing to fulfill his own finance responsibilities, he also took on the demanding task of supporting payroll full-time, ensuring employees were paid accurately and on schedule.
Meeting payroll deadlines often meant working well beyond regular hours and sacrificing personal time. Despite the increased workload and pressure, Caitlyn consistently approached every challenge with professionalism, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help. Much of his work happened quietly behind the scenes, but every employee across the organization felt its impact.
Caitlyn's dedication, strong work ethic, and selfless commitment exemplify the values of teamwork and service. His willingness to step up when the organization needed him most makes him a truly deserving recipient of this quarter's Employee Spotlight.
Mindy Gallant-Zwicker
Cultural Coordinator
Education Department
This quarter, we are proud to recognize Mindy Gallant-Zwicker, Cultural Coordinator in the Education Department, for her exceptional work ethic, big ideas, and ability to turn those ideas into meaningful results.
Mindy is a true workhorse who consistently finds a way to get things done, no matter the challenges. She approaches each project with determination and follows it through from concept to completion.
Her most recent project, the community medicine garden, addresses a long-standing need within the community. While Mindy received support from team members and the community along the way, she was the driving force behind the initiative, leading much of the work required to bring the garden to life.
The medicine garden is more than a completed project. It is a lasting community asset of significant cultural importance that will support connection, cultural learning, and the sharing of traditional knowledge for years to come.
Mindy’s strong execution, perseverance, and commitment to the community make her a truly deserving recipient of this quarter’s Employee Spotlight.
