In this role, you will primarily support soil resistivity testing operations, while also contributing to a range of general labouring, site preparation, equipment handling, and foundation support activities across the project

Requirements
Selected candidate will be required to sign up for IBEW membership
• Assist technicians in performing soil resistivity tests along transmission corridors
• Set out and drive earth electrode pins to specified depths and spacings as directed by the supervising personnel
• Lay out and connect test leads, cables, and instrumentation (e.g., earth resistance testers, data loggers) in accordance with test procedures
• Assist with test grid layout, staking, and site marking
• Packing tools into trucks
• Loading and unloading materials from trailers
• Working around heavy equipment
• Working with hand power tools
• Take direction from crew lead on various tasks
• Work at ground level in open excavations or at heights around heavy operating equipment and machinery
• Load/unload construction materials both mechanically and by hand
• Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Assist heavy equipment operators
• Able to work a minimum 28 days on with 14 days off in remote locations
• Potential to working longer shifts may be required
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Hotel-based accommodation provided, when travel is too far from home
